IFANCA Fellowships, Scholarships and Grants

IFANCA-FDIP grants

The IFANCA-FDIP Request for Proposals (RFP) was announced in January 2024, to support generation of preliminary data, exploration of novel research avenues or partnerships, and enhancement of ongoing collaboration towards major external grant submission. Funding: $20,000/year for up to 2 years. The funding was for research topics in the following focus areas: Food diversity; Authentication and traceability including blockchain technology; Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies for quality; Safety and sustainability of the food system; Supply chain management and related fields.

IFANCA Fellowships and Scholarships recognize outstanding students with an expressed interest in advancing food diversity and sustainability in our multicultural world. IFANCA Awards support graduate and undergraduate research and high-impact learning.

The IFANCA Endowed Dean’s Excellence Scholarship

The IFANCA Endowed Dean’s Excellence Scholarship in Food Science and Technology was established in 2024 with an initial sum of $300,000. The proceeds from this endowment will be allocated to grant scholarships to three (3) full-time students in good academic standing who are actively pursuing an undergraduate degree within the Department of Food Science and Technology at the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences, Texas A&M University.


IFANCA Graduate Fellowships

Two IFANCA Graduate Fellowships, each valued at $22,000, were announced for fall of 2023. The fellowship aims to support new PhD students admitted to the Food Science & Technology program.

IFANCA Undergraduate Endowed Scholarships

In Fall 2022, IFANCA Freshman scholarships each valued at $4,000 were awarded to two new freshmen, Emmalee Rogers and Mallory Morelli admitted to the Food Science Department.

In Fall 2023, Mallory Morelli and Emmalee Rogers each received $2,000 for the 2023-2024 academic year to continue their academic pursuits.
