Did you know? In addition to his internship accomplishments, Kade Gorman has been elected to serve as the 2025–2026 President of the Food Science Club!

The Department of Food Science and Technology is proud to highlight Kade Gorman, a senior Food Science and Technology major currently completing his internship with Schreiber Foods. Kade is gaining valuable hands-on experience as a Yogurt Quality Assurance Technician, contributing directly to the company’s commitment to food safety and product excellence.

In his role, Kade is responsible for inspecting production machinery, preparing control samples, and conducting a range of quality assurance tests, including pH, acidity, and viscosity analyses. These tasks are essential in maintaining the high standards expected in food manufacturing and ensuring product consistency and safety for consumers.

Reflecting on his experience, Kade shared, “Schreiber Foods is known for their incredible camaraderie, workplace environment, and commitment to food safety. It was very apparent to me early on that these were not rumors. Every person on the production floor seems to share a common goal, and the facilities are managed by incredible leadership with safety as our top priority, rather than profit.”
