Texas A&M Department of Food Science and Technology Celebrates 2025 2026 Scholarship Recipients

The Department of Food Science and Technology recently hosted its 2025 2026 Scholarship Reception, a special event celebrating the outstanding achievements of our undergraduate and graduate students. This year’s reception highlighted the dedication, talent, and hard work of our students while honoring the generosity and continued support of our donors.
We were delighted to welcome a number of our scholarship donors, whose contributions make a meaningful impact on our students’ educational journeys. Their presence at the reception exemplifies the strong community that surrounds and uplifts our department, and we extend a heartfelt thank you to each donor for investing in the future of food science and technology.
The reception was made even more memorable with the attendance of Dr. Patricia Klein, who shared inspiring words with our students, faculty, staff, and donors. We are grateful to Dr. Klein for taking the time to encourage and support our student recipients, and for reinforcing the importance of academic excellence, innovation, and leadership in the field of food science.
This year, the Department of Food Science and Technology proudly awarded approximately 45 scholarships to our deserving students. Many of these were first-time recipients who received the Department’s prestigious Excellence Scholarships for Freshman Students, recognizing exceptional promise and achievement in the early stages of their academic careers. These scholarships not only honor individual accomplishments but also serve as a testament to the generosity and vision of our donors who make these awards possible.
The scholarship reception serves as an important opportunity to bring together the students, faculty, staff, and supporters who form the backbone of our department. It celebrates student success, strengthens community connections, and inspires the next generation of leaders in food science and technology.
We look forward to continuing to cultivate these relationships and to supporting our students as they pursue excellence in research, innovation, and professional development. Congratulations again to all of our 2025 2026 scholarship recipients. We are proud of your achievements and excited to see what you will accomplish in the years to come!
