This Fall 2025, the Department of Food Science and Technology will proudly celebrate the remarkable achievements of seven exceptional students as they prepare to cross the stage and receive their hard-earned degrees. These commencement ceremonies will be meaningful occasions filled with excitement, pride, and reflection as families, friends, and faculty gather to honor the dedication and perseverance of these future leaders in the food science industry.

The graduate commencement ceremony will take place on Wednesday, December 17th at 9 a.m. in Reed Arena. During this ceremony, the department will proudly recognize three doctoral students who are completing their Doctor of Philosophy in Food Science and Technology, an extraordinary academic achievement reflecting years of dedication to research, innovation, and scholarship.

Graduate Students

  • Dr. Sangeeta Balyan – Doctor of Philosophy in Food Science and Technology
  • Dr. Jayashan Adhikari – Doctor of Philosophy in Food Science and Technology
  • Dr. Ana Emilia Nava Ochoa – Doctor of Philosophy in Food Science and Technology

The undergraduate commencement ceremony will follow on Thursday, December 18th at 9 a.m. in Reed Arena. Four outstanding students will earn their Bachelor of Science in Food Science and Technology Industry option.
