Throughout his career, Dr. Burns authored over one hundred scientific articles and developed the foods program of the manned spacecraft efforts of NASA throughout the Apollo flights. VICKI KLOERIS FOOD SCIENCE SCHOLARSHIP Vicki Kloeris generously funded this one-time food science scholarship. Kloeris has worked in food systems, processing, and provisioning since 1985, and she recently retired after 30 years of managing space food systems for NASA.
